The ATA Carnet (Admission Temporaire / Temporary Admission) is an international customs document that permits duty-free and tax-free temporary import of goods for up to one year. It is accepted in over 75 countries and territories worldwide.
Replaces the full set of customs documents normally required for temporary import/export across multiple countries.
Goods covered by an ATA Carnet are exempt from import duties and taxes during the temporary stay.
Faster customs processing at borders. The carnet is presented and stamped, reducing clearance time significantly.
A single carnet covers multiple trips to multiple countries within its validity period of up to one year.
Apply through your national Chamber of Commerce (in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH). Provide a detailed list of goods with descriptions and values.
The carnet is issued with vouchers (volets) for each country of transit and destination. It is valid for one year from the date of issue.
Present the carnet at each customs checkpoint. Officers will stamp the relevant volet to record entry and exit of goods.
All goods must be re-exported within the validity period. Failure to re-export may result in duty and tax claims against the guarantee.
Our customs clearance team can guide you through the application process and ensure your temporary imports are handled correctly.
