ATA Carnet

An ATA Carnet simplifies temporary import of goods that will be re-exported, subject to its conditions.

Validity

A carnet lasts up to one year. Customs may set an earlier re-export deadline.

Temporary stay

Relief from import duties depends on meeting the temporary import conditions.

  1. Application

    Contact the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and prepare a goods list.

  2. Customs endorsement

    Present the carnet to customs at each border crossing.

  3. Re-export

    Meet the deadline set by customs.
